The Tax Fest was first introduced by Latino Tax Pro in 2014, marking our entry into bilingual conventions. With a history of delivering high-quality bilingual training, we proudly stand as one of the pioneers in the tax industry, acknowledged with a partnership from the IRS.
We are a bilingual team with over 40 years of experience in the tax industry serving the multi-cultural taxpayers of America. All of our education is based on real-life experiences that you will encounter as a Tax Professional. Our courses are IRS, NASBA, and CTEC-approved.

HISTORY OF THE LATINO TAX FEST
In 1986, Carlos Lopez became an Enrolled Agent to start his career. In 1999, he spent the next 7 years training his own bilingual staff and opening multiple tax offices. A pivotal moment arose when an IRS district manager asked Mr. Lopez to establish a Spanish-speaking organization in California, leading to the creation of the Latino Tax Professionals Association and opening up his training courses to the public.
The first annual convention was held at the Westgate Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, attracting 400 attendees and hosting 20 exhibitors. Our dedicated team organized this modest event committed to growth. We made unforgettable memories and finally met many people we had only talked to on the phone.
The second annual convention returned to the Westgate in 2015 with just under 1,000 attendees. We quickly knew it was time to find the next location to hold our growing event.
The third Tax Fest took place at a new venue in Las Vegas, NV, chosen to accommodate our growing number of participants. In 2016, we welcomed 1,400 attendees and hosted nearly 70 exhibitors.
This began our famous pool party, providing attendees with an enjoyable mixer to unwind after a full day of learning.
In 2017, for our fourth convention, we were just 100 away from hitting our goal of 2,000 attendees! We stayed motivated for the next year to have an even bigger and better event.
In 2018, we achieved our goal with an impressive turnout of 2,500 attendees and 98 exhibitors! The MGM Grand Hotel & Casino provided us the opportunity to expand our offerings, allowing for more breakout sessions, a spacious exhibit hall, and the hosting of two large main rooms for English and Spanish presentations.
The pool party was a tremendous success! We extended to two pool areas, offering attendees a refreshing dip to cool off from the full days of learning.
Then, during our Sixth Annual Tax Fest, we increased the number of attendees to 2,800.
In the face of uncertainty during the pandemic, we quickly shifted gears, introducing the first-ever Latino Tax Fest as an interactive virtual event. Attendees embraced the challenge, livestreaming sessions and engaging with one another from the safety of their homes.
The virtual platform hosted a steady 1,000 to 1,500 participants, further solidifying the community we've cultivated around a shared appreciation for knowledge!
After careful planning, we safely returned to our regular in-person events! Back for another wonderful year with the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. To accommodate attendees who enjoyed learning from home, we kept our virtual option as well. This would be our first-ever large hybrid event! We had a total of 2,525 attendees in person, and 315 joined us virtually.
2023 was a year of celebration! We reached our TENTH ANNUAL TAX FEST, and we also celebrated Carlos C. Lopez, EA, CEO of Latino Tax Pro, in his milestone of FORTY YEARS in the tax industry.
The year of 1040!
A total of 2,563 attendees and 73 exhibitors joined us in this fiesta!
