Ricardo Rivas

Ricardo Rivas, EA has been an enrolled agent since 1996 after he had worked in the tax profession for over ten years. He is a proud member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and is a fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute. He has been self-employed for over 30 years, started his tax preparation business in Santa Ana, California and relocated to Texas in 2001. He served as Treasurer, 2nd Vice President, and President of the Texas Society of Enrolled Agents. Serving as President of the Society, Ricardo testified before the Texas House of Representatives on the potential harm a bill in consideration could unleash upon Enrolled Agents; that bill did not survive the session. He is in demand as a tax practice speaker, he is a popular speaker at the Regional Practitioner’s Meetings, and a popular discussion leader at NTPI.
