Larry Gray, managing partner and owner of Alferman, Gray & Co, CPAs, LLC, directs his firm’s regional auditing, consulting and tax practice located in Rolla, Missouri. Though his firm is regional, Alferman, Gray has done consulting and instructional work around the nation for well-known organizations like Microsoft and Intuit. Mr. Gray is a professional instructor of tax subjects at state CPA conclaves throughout the country and also teaches for the IRS and the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), among other organizations. He is a forensic accounting specialist and provides professional witness testimony.
Larry began his career as an associate in the tax and audit department of the CPA firm he has come to own. He has been active with numerous professional organizations, having served as the President of the Missouri State Board of Accountancy and the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP). He is an active member of the AICPA and has provided tax instruction for NATP, NSA, MSCPA, NAEA and the University of Illinois Farm School. He has served the IRS over the years, having been on the IRS Commissioner’s Advisory Group (CAG), ETAAC and IRPAC. He is a prolific author and speaker and has been named by Accounting Today Magazine as one of the profession’s Top 100 Most Influential People in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2006, and 2009. CPA Practitioner Magazine named him one of the Top 100 Practitioners in America in 2006 and 2007.
